LG GD510 Pop review shows up

Launched less that one month ago in Europe, LG GD510 Pop is the South Korean company's latest affordable touchscreen phone. At 97.8 x 49.5 x 11.2 mm, LG GD510 Pop is actually the smallest 3-inch touchscreen phone on the market, and this will probably make many customers look at it with interest.

Interesting about the GD510 is that you can buy a solar back panel for it. If held 10 minutes under the sun, the panel can provide enough power for up to two minutes of talk time.

GSM Arena has recently published a review of the LG GD510 Pop and -- as we've expected -- the review is favorable.

Some things we really need to mention from the review: the 240 x 400 display offers a good image quality, but suffers when it's out in the sun; the phone's virtual landscape QWERTY keyboard is pretty good; web browsing is "generally nice"; there's no support for DivX and XviD, but the 3 Megapixel photo camera is excellent (no less) "for a fixed focus unit"; the phone's battery can last about 5 days on regular use.

Apart from the solar panel and the improved S-Class UI, LG GD510 Pop doesn't offer many new things when compared to the LG Cookie. Even so, the phone is a "neat little gadget that's keen to build on the Cookie success" -- and we're glad to hear that.
