Fido to launch the LG GW300 Etna 2 in Canada

An anonymous source just tipped us that Canada's Fido is going to launch the LG GW300 aka LG Etna 2. The phone is supposed to be available later this month, but we don't have any info on pricing yet.

If you don't know anything about the LG GW300, well, it's a messaging phone with social networking features. Like the LG Neon TE365 and LG Xenon -- both available at Fido as we speak -- the LG GW300 has a full QWERTY keypad.

The phone also features a 2.4-inch QVGA display, quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity, threaded SMS, 3.5mm audio jack, Music player (MP3, AAC, AAC+, AAC++, WMA, AMR, MIDI), FM radio, 2 Megapixel camera, microSD card support and a 900 mAh Li-Po battery.

We'll report back when Fido announces / launches the GW300.
