LG Cookie Pep GD510 launched in India

When our RSS reader laconically informed us that the "LG Cookie Pep" is being launched in India, we didn't expect to see the LG GD510 Pop behind this name. And yet it's the GD510 that's named like that for its Indian release.

Apart from the unusual name, the LG GD510 Cookie Pep brings the features that we've already seen included in the GD510 Pop. The phone has a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, music player, FM radio, an animated UI with social networking integration, user friendly web browser, stereo Bluetooth, 3.15 Megapixel camera and microSD card slot.

LG's brand ambassadors in India, Bollywood stars Genelia D’Souza, John Abraham and Abhay Deol, will promote the Cookie Pep GD510. The phone is bound to be a hit with youngsters in India. It will be available in starting this month, priced at Rs. 7,500 -- about $164.
