LG GX300. More dual SIM?

We don't have too many details on the LG GX300, but since both the LG GX200 and LG GX500 are dual SIM phones, it's quite reasonable to think that the X300 is, also, a dual SIM handset. A low-end one, seemingly, since its display has 176 x 220 pixels.

The LG GX300 features Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and EDR, and GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity. 3G is most likely not featured.

That's all we know about the LG GX300. We're trying to get our hands on a photo or two of the phone and we'll report back after we succeed.

LG Remarq LN240 is Sprint's new eco-friendly phone

Sprint and LG are bringing a new eco-friendly phone to the US market -- the LG Remarq LN240, a messaging slider with a full QWERTY keyboard, QVGA display, stereo Bluetooth, MP3 player, email, 1.3 Megapixel camera and microSD card support.

The LG Remarq is 87 percent recyclable and meets RoHS standards for restriction of hazardous materials like mercury, lead and cadmium. Its packaging is fully recyclable and the usual paper manual has been replaced with an online user manual. The phone also comes with an Eco Calculator, an Energy Star-qualified charger and a 900 mAh battery (for up to 5.5 hours of talk time).

LG Remarq will be available at Sprint starting May 9 in dark silver and turquoise. The phone will be free with a contract agreement for two years and after a $19.99 instant rebate and a $50 mail-in rebate.

Pre-register on Sprint's website to get notified when the LG Remarq becomes available.

LG GX500 dual SIM phone coming soon

LG's third dual SIM phone (after the LG KS660 and LG GX200) is called LG GX500 and it's a touchscreen handset.

The GX500 features a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, Music player, Bluetooth, FM radio, 3 Megapixel camera and a 1500 mAh battery. The phone lets you use two SIM card at the same time, but unfortunately it doesn't support 3G.

We've been told that the LG GX500 will be launched really soon -- but we don't know if that means next month or sometime later.

LG Breeze GW520 / GW525 for Telus Canada

Update: LG Breeze is now available at Telus.

Well well well, what have we here? It's the LG Breeze for Telus, an unannounced phone that's actually the LG GW520 / GW525 (available in Europe and Asia).

The LG Breeze GW520 / GW525 is a messaging phone with a sliding 4-row QWERTY keyboard and a 2.8-inch touchscreen display with 240 x 400 pixels. Weighing 125 grams, the LG Breeze should come with a 950 mAh Li-Ion battery (up to 5 hours of talk time, up to 500 hours of stand-by time).

Telus already has quite many LG phones in its line-up (LG BL40 New Chocolate, LG Versa 9600, LG Keybo2, LG Masterpiece 7100 etc) and the Breeze GW520 / GW525 will definitely be a nice addition to it. The phone's release date on Telus is not yet known but we'll announce it as soon as it gets official.

The handset features a WQVGA touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, FM radio, Dolby mobile sound, email, Instant Messaging, web browser, Facebook integration, 3 Megapixel camera and microSD card support. LG GD900 Crystal launched in Qatar

LG has launched the unique GD900 Crystal in Qatar, one of the world's richest countries (by GDP per capita).

Let us remind you the features of LG GD900 Crystal: 3-inch multi-touch WVGA display, touch-sensitive transparent keypad, 8 Megapixel camera (with autofocus, LED flash and 720x480 video recording at 30fps), TV out, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, HSDPA (7.2Mbps), 1.5 GB of on-board memory and microSD card support.

LG didn't mention the price of GD900 Crystal for the Qatar market.

LG Cosmos VN250 for Verizon Wireless

Update: the LG Cosmos is now available at Verizon for only $29.99 with a contract agreement for two years.

LG Cosmos VN250 will be Verizon's second new LG phone for this year, after the LG Accolade VX5600. While the Accolade is a basic clamshell, the LG Cosmos VN250 is a messaging phone with a full QWERTY keyboard.

The LG VN250 Cosmos has a Rumor-like design and features a 2-inch display, 2.5mm headset jack, 1.3 Megapixel camera, microUSB and microSD card support. EV-DO connectivity seems to be missing.

Phone Arena says the LG VN250 will be launched by Verizon this month -- on March 25. We think the Cosmos will cost about $50 on contract so it should be perfect for anyone in search of a new affordable messaging phone that doesn't require a data plan.

LG GD510 Pop is hot in red

LG GD510 Pop is one of LG's most successful new touchscreen phones, so it comes as no surprise that it's available in lots of colors. One of the colors that wasn't announced (as far as we know) is red. And yet, a red GD510 Pop does exist and it looks like it's available now in the UAE -- where the silver and the black versions can also be found.

In fact, LG claims that this GD510 is pink, but it looks more like red to us. In any case, we are not yet sure if this red / pink LG GD510 will be launched in other countries.

The silver LG GD510 Pop is currently available in many markets, including the UK, Canada, Thailand and India (as LG Cookie Pep).

LG KM555 Shine Touch from Telus

Update: it was a mistake from LG Canada, the KM555 is not coming to Telus, but only to Rogers.

The LG KM555 might be launched in Canada not only by Rogers, but also by Telus, as LG Shine Touch. LG Canada's official website has recently added the KM555 to its list of phones, and Telus appears as the handset's carrier (go to the Specifications page to see it). So this is an official confirmation of the handset's release (unless someone mixed up some details or something).

The LG KM555 Shine Touch is a touchscreen phone with a 3-inch WQVGA display, S-Class UI, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, 3 Megapixel camera and microSD card support. Notably, it appears that Telus' LG Shine Touch KM555 has 128MB of onboard memory, unlike other versions of the KM555, which have 40MB.

You can find a preview of the LG KM555 here.

Telus also sells phones like LG BL40 New Chocolate, LG Versa 9600, LG Masterpiece 7100, LG Banter and LG 5500.

LG KM570 coming to Orange

We've just found out that Orange will soon launch the LG KM570, a new touchscreen phone that we actually know very little about. We know about the existence of the LG KM570 since last year, but we didn't manage to gather too much info about it, save for its display's resolution -- 240 x 400 -- and the fact that it has HSDPA, Bluetooth and FM transmitter.

We assume Orange will sell the KM570 in the UK and other European markets. The phone might be similar to the LG KM555.

Whatever it is, the LG KM570 recently passed the FCC -- although the Commission doesn't seem to have tested it on WCDMA bands, which seemingly means the phone won't live to see a North American release. Not this version of it anyway.

LG Cookie Pep GD510 launched in India

When our RSS reader laconically informed us that the "LG Cookie Pep" is being launched in India, we didn't expect to see the LG GD510 Pop behind this name. And yet it's the GD510 that's named like that for its Indian release.

Apart from the unusual name, the LG GD510 Cookie Pep brings the features that we've already seen included in the GD510 Pop. The phone has a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, music player, FM radio, an animated UI with social networking integration, user friendly web browser, stereo Bluetooth, 3.15 Megapixel camera and microSD card slot.

LG's brand ambassadors in India, Bollywood stars Genelia D’Souza, John Abraham and Abhay Deol, will promote the Cookie Pep GD510. The phone is bound to be a hit with youngsters in India. It will be available in starting this month, priced at Rs. 7,500 -- about $164.

LG VS750 for Verizon hits the FCC

LG VS750 will be Verizon's first smartphone made by LG. Unfortunately, it looks like it runs Windows Mobile 6.5, so users will be able to upgrade it to Windows Mobile 6.5.3, but not to Windows Phone 7 Series.

If this doesn't bother you, the LG VS750 has been approved by the FCC, so Verizon could launch it any day now. The VS750 has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, plus both EV-DO and GSM/HSDPA connectivity -- it's a world phone.

The LG VS750 might be a customized version of the GM750, but we can't yet be sure of that.

Verizon has recently launched the LG Accolade VX5600, a simple flip phone that can be yours for free if you're willing to give two years of your contract-agreement-life to VZW.

LG GM360 Bali coming to T-Mobile Germany

Update: LG GM360 seems to be a dual SIM phone.

Hidden somewhere at the T-Mobile Germany CeBIT 2010 booth was the LG GM360 Bali, a new touchscreen phone that's not yet officially announced by LG.

The LG Bali GM360 looks like the LG GT500 Puccini (and a bit like the LG GT505, if we're closely looking at its hardware keys) and comes with the following features: 240 x 400 pixels touchscreen display, 5 Megapixel camera, MP3 player, FM radio, microSD card support and GSM/EDGE connectivity.

We're guessing the LG GM360 Bali will be launched this spring. T-Mobile Germany is probably not the only carrier that will offer the LG GM360 Bali, so we'll dig for more info and get back to you. Meanwhile, we're going to make a virtual trip to the Bali island in Indonesia and see if there's any good reason for LG to name the GM360 after it. Photo of the Bali phone after a photo of some awesome Balinese dancers.

LG Cookie Plus GS500 video preview

The LG GS500 Cookie Plus should be available starting this month -- in Europe at least -- but before you get the chance to see it in stores and eventually buy it, maybe you want to see it in a quick video preview.

The preview is made by Phone Arena, and shows a black version of the LG Cookie Plus (the phone will also be available in white silver, baby pink, imperial purple, wine red and brown).

Since it's an improved Cookie KP500, the Cookie GS500 Plus features 3G (HSDPA), LiveSquare and native Facebook client, in addition to a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, music player, 3.5mm headset jack, FM radio, HTML browser, 3.15 Megapixel camera and an animated Flash UI.

LG Pop GD510 now in Thailand

Quick, what's the latest LG phone launched in Thailand? No, it's not the LG BL40 and neither the LG GW525 -- it's the LG GD510 Pop, one of the world's smallest full-touch phones.

LG has appointed singer Ruj Suparuj Taechatanon to present the GD510 Pop in Thailand -- a clear sign that the phone is targeted at the young generation.

The LG Pop is really thin (11.2 mm) and comes wtih a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display and lots of multimedia features, like MP3 player, 3.2 Megapixel camera and web browser.

The LG Pop GD510 can also use an optional solar-battery cover, and has the following green features:
  • Strictly adheres to the European Union’s RoHS requirements, ensuring that it does not contain any polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and is made free of BFR (brominated flame retardants) and CFR (chlorinated flame retardants) almost up to 99.9 percent.
  • All packaging is made from recycled paper with environmentally-friendly soy ink printing.
  • A highly efficient battery charger cuts power consumption and subsequently reduces carbon emissions. When the phone is fully charged, it beeps and displays a message on screen, reminding users to unplug the charger and save energy.
LG says that for every GD510 Pop phone sold, it will plant one tree. The company will also launch "One Email One Tree" - an interactive website where users will be able plant virtual trees -- LG will then collect all entries and plant real trees for every virtual entry, under a corporate social responsibility project.
